About Carl
Starting with a diagnostic skills check, I see where your hands currently sit on the fretboard. It is about assessing your baseline. We will build a plan based on your goals regarding sheet music or ear training. Whether you want to master strumming patterns or dive into theory, the path is clear.
Lessons for absolute beginners are paced to build confidence. I use my professional background to guide your rhythm. Playing guitar should be a joy. I hope to hear you play soon.

Sitting in a studio, I remember tuning my strings before a show in Mexico. Those 16 years gigging in the Tex-Mex circuit gave me the technical skills to handle anything from power chords to complex blues progressions.
My 13 years of teaching have brought me into contact with 469 students ranging from absolute beginners to those prepping for grade exams. Since I am a self-taught guitarist who transitioned into professional performance, I know how to break down music theory into manageable pieces. I have navigated the challenges of learning lead guitar and maintenance myself. If you are an intermediate learner or a working professional, I invite you to join me for a session.
