I would teach any way the student wants. Whatever they want to focus on, I will go from there. From teaching basic vocabulary, to teaching them proper pronunciation. Whatever they are comfortable with and the pace they are comfortable with.
I took German in middle school all the way up through high school to graduation, as well as taking a second language of French for my second to last year. I was in German Honor Society, I received special awards for out of school exam and that led me to being interviewed for an opportunity to go to Germany. I put off college for personal reasons, but I tested very well to see which class to put me in and they even emailed me saying I was that good I could have studied in the Swiss Alps. I love helping others, and spreading my knowledge of not only the language but the culture and history of Germany and it's surrounding German speaking countries, would thrill me.
