About Karen
I have tutored professionally for 3 years; before that I worked in the mental health field. My education and experience included child development classes. I have high expectations of my students, and help them set learning goals and then help them reach their goals. I treat them with respect, and expect them to be respectful with me.

I make learning fun with science experiments, craft projects, and cooking lessons, as well as nature walks and pajama days. I meet the students where they are and encourage them with positive affirmations. I enjoy teaching. Watching a student grasp something new or master a new skill brings me great joy. I would love to work with you!
