About Paul
Stepping into our first session feels like finding a missing map. We evaluate your current strumming patterns immediately.
I offer a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum steady. My 8 years of experience as a teacher allow me to identify exactly where your progress stalls. We will address grade exam prep and specific technical hurdles in a precise, theatre-fluent manner.
You can expect a calm environment where your questions are always welcome. My goal is to ensure you leave each time with a clear path forward.

Music exists as a constant in my life, even when I am away from the guitar. It defines my perspective, having studied at the Royal Northern College of Music for my MMus Voice. I find that this classical background informs my precision when teaching guitar to adults and teens.
I work with advanced learners and returning students who seek a structured path. I am a neurodivergent-affirming tutor who values clarity and calm. You will find that I prioritise logic and steady growth. Self-taught players often appreciate the way I break down complex acoustic technique or electric technique.
I also assist with songwriting, tuning and maintenance, and reading tabs. I look forward to working with you soon.
