About Stella

Since 2010, I teach Modern Greek in private lessons, live or online, having students from all over the world. I believe that teaching a new language is an integral process that involves not only repetition, learning by heart, exercising, practicing, but also to get into language’s character, mentality, and worldview –to get to know the people who speak this language.

About the lesson

I highly believe that learning has to be personalized, by taking into account that diversity is an important aspect. For that reason, my teaching method is a blend of student-centered and teacher-centered approach, focusing on the specific needs, interests and pace of every student of mine, considering always that the main motivation for both sides is the learning process. In that way I try to meet every time the needs of my students by adapting the curriculum (pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening, reading, writing..) to my students' characteristics.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by students with Stella.

Perfect! She encouraged me to stay speaking in Greek as much as possible, even though my Greek is not very good and I would get lost throughout the lesson. I think that is the best approach. It is scary, but also exciting!

I met Stella about 3 years ago when I decided to start learning Greek. From the beginning I liked her approach and her methods of teaching. She makes me feel confident and motivated choosing the right materials.
The Greek language is certainly not the easiest one to learn so the teacher's approach and skills are very important. Stella has it all, she is experienced, innovative, professional and full of positive attitude. She helps me to develop all language skills making our course interesting and practical.
I recommend Stella without reservation.

Stella is a great language teacher, she recognize what the learner knows and doesn’t know and she helps to learn more effectively. The learning is a process and she knows how to achieve progress. Patience with the learning process is one of the greatest qualities of a good teacher and Stella has it. She explores a new technology of eLearning and methods of language teaching because they have changed considerably. Moreover, she understands the language development stages of her learners, therefore, offers you a better idea customizing teaching to suit the individual needs effectively. Stella is a kind of a teacher who explains key language concepts, patterns, and ideas in ways that you can relate to, enjoy, and apply in real-life situations. Stella teaches me Greek language and from the first lesson I knew that it was going to be a wonderful experience. Anyway I speak Greek now!
