About Jate
Hello champions! My name is Jaté and I have started tutoring 5 and a half years ago in high school. I worked hard in school to soak up as much knowledge as I can and to get good grades. After school I au paired in the Netherlands and in America. I have gained so many skills on what it means to teach and promote learning in these two years. I am currently studying to become a Educational Psychologist. It is really a passion of mine to teach and work with people. Now I study and tutor part time.
I think I will be a good tutor because I want to help students be the best they can be. I want to know what makes you "click" in the learning environment and I will keep that in mind during our lessons together.

Grade 1-12. I will be a great tutor for visual learners because I love teaching in colors and diagrams. I am very patient and I make space for mistakes so that we can learn. I will try my best to meet you at where your needs are. For optimal learning, it will be best for you to send me the material you are working through beforehand (especially literature) and for you to have questions ready. Online classes mostly but I can make exceptions if circumstances allow it. Afrikaans and English lessons available in Afrikaans, English, Dutch and possibly Setswana (beginner). I am comfortable with tutoring some special needs students as I have experience in this aspect.
