About Julie
I’m a 20+ year Respiratory Therapist with real-world clinical experience and 2+ years of college-level teaching experience at 2-4 year colleges. As a clinical adjunct instructor, I work directly with students at hospital-based locations and help them develop the clinical skills, confidence, and critical-thinking abilities they need to succeed.
My teaching experience includes hands-on clinical instruction, as well as cadaver-based anatomy labs and anatomical model instruction. I believe anatomy becomes much easier to understand when students can see, visualize, and apply what they are learning rather than simply memorize lists of structures.

I believe difficult subjects don't have to be difficult to understand!
I use simplified explanations, real-life examples, analogies, mnemonics, memory tricks, and easy-to-remember concepts to help students understand why something works—not just memorize a bunch of information.
For example, instead of simply memorizing complicated terminology, we'll break it down into plain language and memorable connections so you can recall it when you need it most—especially during exams.
Whether you're struggling with anatomy, physiology, cardiopulmonary concepts, respiratory therapy, or medical terminology, we'll work at your pace and find the learning method that works best for you.

Details
Willing to tutor small groups of no more than 3 students at a time. Small group of 3 will be charged $80/session; group of 2 will be $55/session. Pack pricing listed is for individual sessions only. Group pack pricing available. Travel fee is $5 for each session and anything beyond a 5 mile radius will be an additional $0.75 a mile.
