About Laura

I completed both my teacher training and my Masters in Education at the University of Birmingham, and I received my geography degree from the University of Leeds. In addition to teaching Year 7 to 13 Geography, I also have three years experience tutoring English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning for 11+ exams.

About the lesson

I am looking to tutor students in Geography from Year 7 to 13. I’ve led the geography department at my secondary school for three years, and currently teach up to A-Level, specialising in the AQA specification for both GCSE and A-Level. I use a variety of methods in my teaching and my lessons involve aspects which are teacher led, but I am also keen to help students develop responsibility for their learning and love involving discovery and enquiry based learning in my teaching as well.
