About Keith
I am an ex Head of Subject at a large academy in the North West of England. I have taught Science and Maths to GCSE and Chemistry and Physics to A Level for over 20 years. I have been doing private tutoring online and in person for over 10 years with a great deal of success. I mark exams for 2 exam boards and thus can give an examiners insight into what is expected to get the highest grades.

My degree is in Chemistry (2.1) but I have additional specialism in Physics through an extra teaching qualification (SASP). I find that the most successful way of tutoring is if the student brings work with which they are struggling to the session. I have found that if I plan a session, it could be one with which the student is very familiar so a waste of time. If the students brings topics then the session has the absolute maximum impact. Also, my long experience means that I can instantly teach a topic with no prior warning as I have the answers and teaching techniques at my fingertips. I have been told that I am friendly and approachable and "we were lucky to find someone so knowledgeable in this subject (A level Chemistry".
