In my opinion, a good teacher is someone
who emphasizes the value of self-expression, uniqueness, creativity, freedom of speech, and
inclusivity. My philosophy seeks to foster students’ critical thinking and help them reach
their maximum potential by giving students the freedom to independently communicate their
thoughts and ideas. Additionally, I disagree with the traditional teaching approach that calls for
teachers to “feed” students knowledge; therefore, I believe that teachers should occasionally give
students a chance to take the role of the teacher.
My techniques are: assessing student needs - tailoring my teaching plans and materials to their specific needs, breaking down complex concepts - ensuring that students understand the fundamental principles before moving on to advanced concepts, exchanging roles - asking students what they know or understand about the material before teaching to gain insight into the students thought process,etc.
My lessons are designed for students that need help in maths and physic from high school to Quebec Cegep level, as well as those that need help in English.
