As a Hebrew tutor, I focus on a personalized, step-by-step approach that meets each student where they are in their learning journey. I teach using a combination of reading exercises, repetition for fluency, pronunciation guidance, and contextual understanding of prayers and Torah portions. My method balances structure with flexibility, ensuring that students not only learn the material but also feel confident and connected to it.
A typical lesson begins with a review of previously learned Hebrew letters, words, or prayers, followed by new reading practice. We then work on comprehension and Torah or Haftarah portion preparation, using techniques such as breaking passages into manageable sections, practicing chanting rhythms, and reinforcing vocabulary. Lessons often end with a short recap and personalized homework or practice exercises tailored to the student’s pace.
