About Isabella

Hello, my name is Isabella and I am a medical student at the University of Nottingham. I am looking to tutor GCSE biology, chemistry and psychology, where I received grade 9s in these. I also have just completed my A levels in these 3 subjects, where I received As, meaning I have extensive knowledge in these subjects. I have a friendly personality and I am looking to support year 10/11 students and guide them through the GCSE exam period. I have many tips and tricks on how to revise and how to achieve the best grades for yourself and provide encouragement throughout.

About the lesson

My main approach is ensuring students know all the content that can be examined, so that they can be fully prepared for anything that can be examined. I start by ensuring all the content of the syllabus is understood and students know exactly what they need to be revising, by using the specification for that exam board. I also give students past papers and exam questions, that we can go through in teams meetings so students can be fully prepared for exams and exam technique. The typical length of lessons would be 1 hour, but this can be increased around nearing exam periods. I received grade 9s in GCSE in psychology, biology and chemistry and furthered my studies to A Level where I achieved 3 As in chemistry, biology and psychology. I believe this gives me extensive knowledge in these subjects to a high level. I also am currently studying medicine, so I am furthering my education into biochemistry, meaning that my knowledge is continuing to be built on. I have a warm and friendly personality, which I think is important for students as I would like them to feel comfortable in asking any questions they may have, without fear of judgement. I have experience with voluntary tutoring at sixth form, where I tutored students in GCSE science. Whilst I do not have experience tutoring for a company yet, I feel that my extensive knowledge of these subjects and having done these subjects very recently will be invaluable to students.
