What adaptations allow the ice-fish to live in the frigid waters of the Antarctic? How do birds maintain such high metabolic demands of flying? These are some of the fascinating questions that biologists investigate.
I have a strong background in genetics and animal biology and my main goal is to inspire others to appreciate the intricate world filled with creatures around us. I am looking to tutor high-school biology and lower year university biology or genetics.
My teaching methods are using descriptive and interactive methods to better demonstrate a concept and make it stick. It is shown that learning is best facilitated when reinforced in many different ways, for example through drawing diagrams, taking notes, or describing what you learned to a friend. By delivering material through variable avenues, knowledge can be better cemented in your mind. I think one-on-one lessons are best because we can form a better student-tutor relationship and I can custom-tailor lessons to best suit you! It also eliminates some of the social stress associated with asking questions and asking for more help if you need it. What makes me special is my compassion, patience and understanding of the student experience. I also hope that my passion for this subject will inspire my students.

I've known and studied alongside Nicole for 4 years now. She is kind, knowledgeable, and cares deeply about her students. I can see that she genuinely wants them to do well. She is also very passionate about biology and all things science, and this enthusiasm is seen when she's working with her students.
