About Cayden
My name is Cayden, I am a 16-year-old Junior in High School. I specialize in math and sciences, and above grade level classes fill up my schedule. Currently, I am taking college courses of Calculus, and my first year of Physics. Tutoring and teaching others has always been close to my heart, whether that's helping a classmate, or my younger siblings. I plan on being a teacher when I get older, and tutoring will help me be prepared for my future and refine my skills. I would love to help anyone that needs tutoring. I can promise that I will not only help you complete your assignments, but help you walk away with genuine understanding of the material. Some hobbies of mine outside of academics are: Backpacking and Hiking (anything outdoors), NSDA Policy Debate, DECA, and many other extracurricular programs at my school.

My main focus as a tutor will be on building a clear understanding of concepts rather than just memorizing steps. I will especially be applying real-world examples to concepts, and adjusting the way I teach based off of the student. I will teach through encouraging students to explain their thinking, so they can gain confidence in their answers and be ready for application on exams/tests.
Teaching Method & Techniques:
• Active problem-solving (working through examples together)
• Step-by-step explanations with checks for understanding
• Visual aids, analogies, and practice problems that make the material stick
• Encouraging critical thinking and strategies for test-taking
What Sets Me Apart:
I’m close in age to my students, so I know what it feels like to be learning this material right now and not 20 years ago. I will focus on making lessons engaging and understandable, not intimidating. My goal isn’t just to help students get homework done it’s to give them tools and confidence they’ll carry into future classes.
