About Francesca

I am a student, currently studying in London at SOAS University of London. I am doing a Bachelor’s in Korean language and culture. As someone who is multicultural and multilingual, it is my passion to learn and teach languages. Hence, I decided to offer my Finnish and French skills to share with others the beauty of French and Finnish culture and its language.

About the lesson

My qualifications include having grown up going to Finnish Saturday School as well as speaking Finnish at home with my mother. I have family in Finland who I visit regularly. Finland and the Finnish language are very dear to me.

Before I start teaching, I ask my students what type of learning methods they prefer. Some students prefer conversation while others prefer a focus on grammar and vocabulary. My methodologies of teaching include; knowledge by recall and review, phrasal or sentence pattern practice as well as listening and translation practice. In addition, interaction methology as there is a high level of interaction between student and teacher. Typical length of a lesson would range from half an hour to two hours depending on the student’s choice. Students of all ages are welcome.
