About Dakota
Hello! My name is Dakota, and I am just about to graduate with my bachelors degree! I have worked as a tutor and teacher assistant for mostly lower division math and coding courses throughout my time as a student. I have learned to love tutoring and teaching, and I am considering becoming a teacher as a full time career. I am CRLA level 3 certified, and have over a 1000 hours of tutoring experience. I hope to continue aiding students through their beginning math and coding courses, and inspire confidence in their ability to be successful in school. I look forward to meeting you!

I believe everyone has the potential to feel confident in math. My lessons are focused towards students who are taking some of their first college level math courses. These courses can be scary, and may inhibit a students belief that they can be successful throughout college. I want to challenge that belief, and approach these math courses in a way that focuses on connecting concepts to build a strong foundation for new students. My lesson plans are all about combining multiple learning styles and strategies to find the best fit for my students. I hope that with some help, students who traditionally think "they aren't good at math" can challenge that belief and feel confident in their math classes.
