About Jocelyn

The purpose of my teaching is to help you learn standard Chinese, so before having systematic courses, we would discuss CLEAR GOAL and YOUR LEVELS which is the important for you and I. Of course, it is not limited to this. The teaching content is not limited to textbooks, we will even involve Chinese animation, music, and games.

If you are a beginner in Chinese, we will start with the most basic pinyin and learn step by step. If you have a foundation in Chinese and want to learn in certain part of Chinese, such as writing or reading. If you want to learn Chinese interestingly and effectively, just choose my course.

About the lesson

Here, I will offer five types of courses:

️ General Mandarin (A1-B2 level)
️ Children's Course (under 12)
️ TOCFL Certification
️ Travelling and Study Abroad
️ Business Chinese

(1) General Mandarin (A1-C2 level)
Suitable for those interested in Chinese and want to use it as a tool for study, work, and life.
Main Course Content: We will discuss different topics based on your goals, including 4 levels: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. It might take some time to build a solid foundation. For example, the theme for travelling abroad includes ordering at a restaurant, visiting a museum, asking for directions, and reading books. I will accumulate practical Chinese under different themes such as vocabulary, sentences, and dialogues in each class.

(2) TOCFL Certification
Suitable for those preparing for the TOCFL exam.
Main Course Content: Specify the level you want to achieve and start practising from the first lesson or decide which part you want to improve (speaking, writing, reading, listening). I will provide materials from past exams, mock tests, and useful notes with vocabularies and grammatical phenomena. Whether you're considering studying at a Chinese-speaking university or wish to work in a country where Chinese is the main language, this course is designed to help you achieve your goals faster!

(3) Children's Course
Suitable for children aged 6-12
Hello, parents and children! I have 3 years of experience teaching children. The children's Chinese course here will provide various teaching materials. Maintaining children's curiosity and passion is important to me, so in addition to props, I will provide many fun activities that I have personally designed to help your child learn and grow, including grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Secondly: In my classroom, your child's confidence will grow! Therefore, the children's course will be progressive and repetitive, adding a bit of new knowledge at the same time, using videos, music, games, role-playing, and more to achieve their goals!

(4) Travelling
Suitable for traveller and international students about to embark on a new journey, exploring a new country.
Main Course Content: Help you practice Chinese in real-life travelling scenarios, facing all kinds of travel experiences! For example, Taiwanese habits, important spots, and welfare.

(5) Business Chinese
Suitable for those moving to Chinese-speaking countries seeking new job opportunities.
Main Course: According to your job and mock tests, I will help you customise real-life scenario courses. For example, business financial reports, various etiquette occasions, and the essentials of daily life.
