About Brice
Hello! My name is Dr. Brice Smith! Professionalism and kindness are how I approach every student. I guarantee we will have a fun time in our flute lessons. I have five flute performance degrees, including a doctorate in music. I perform across the United States with major symphonies and am an internationally renowned flutist. I love to teach, and I cannot wait to help each student reach their musical goals!

Our lessons will always be in a fun and supportive environment. As a flutist of 26 years, I know that learning music concepts is more accessible when having a teacher invested in the student's well-being and growth. Therefore, I have successfully cultivated a welcoming atmosphere in my lessons. My lessons consist of performance listening exercises, tone and technique exercises, etudes, and repertoire. Each student also gets a choice in a piece to learn!
I also teach audition support and orchestral excerpts!

Perfect! I have studied the flute for over 30 years (off and on). The lesson that I had with Dr. Brice was probably THE best, if not one of the best first lessons I've ever taken. He provides clear suggestions and recommendations and allows time for those recommendations to be assimilated. After the initial assimilation, he continues to refine the instruction and to bring the performance standard closer to the desired outcome. He is pleasant, complimentary, and focused. I cannot recommend him more highly. Worth every dime.
