About Jacob
I enjoy traveling, reading and cooking. Above all else, I am passionate about dancing, since I am currently a professional dancer with Mexico’s National Folk Dance Company, el Ballet Folklorico de Mexico de Amalia Hernandez. I enjoy structured lessons but casual conversations. I believe that teaching is like a performance. Teachers need to act and be "on" when in front of students. Sometimes it is easy, while other times it is difficult. Making the most mundane skill seem fun and exciting will take work. Even though you will be exhausted at the end of the day, but over time you will build stamina.

I bring strong competency in evaluating and enhancing student progress in auditory comprehension, speaking, reading, and writing in the target language utilizing strategies appropriate for the respective levels being taught. For example, utilizing many activities that involve Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling (TPRS) by the students is an effective way of getting the students to participate in the classroom.
