About Kaitlyn
I am a speech and language pathology clinical fellow, which is basically like a residency for a speech and language pathologist. Do you know what a speech and language pathologist does? We diagnose communication and language disorders, in different populations. This means, I could work in a school with kiddos like yourself, or I can work in a nursing home, or even in a hospital! It's a fun and WIDE field! Do you know anyone who is an SLP? Have you ever had an SLP?
As mentioned earlier, I've worked with bilingual, ESL students on both math and English. All of them used to ACE their tests after our sessions! I also tutored a five-year-old in reading who was bilingual in french and English. She read her first book only a month after our sessions concluded! We always had a blast, played games, watched videos; if it helps you learn, it makes me happy!

I love to play games, and cater lessons to YOUR favorite subjects and activities! I love to start my lessons with ice breakers, often discuss silly events from our weeks, and then lean into the good stuff. Depending on what we are learning that day, I will usually start by talking about a book of (OUR choice!), that's right, YOU get to help me pick, then we will talk about what we THINK it may be about (inferencing :) ), then, we will talk about times in our lives where we maybe felt like that! Then, we will read the book together. I love it when my students ask me questions, so never be afraid to speak up! I cater to kiddos ages 5-18 :), and I promise, we have fun all the way along.
