About Maria

Hello! My name is Maria, and I am 20 years old. I am a native Arabic speaker, originally from Algeria, and a masters' graduate from the University of Birmingham. I am a flexible tutor, and my teaching plan depends on the individual needs of my students.

I have a preference for teaching kids and teenagers, as that has always been the age range of my students. Despite my scientific background, I have excelled in Arabic classes and accumulated nearly 5 years of teaching experience.

For younger students, I take a gradual approach, ensuring a strong understanding of the basics before moving on to more complex topics. I incorporate 5-10 minute breaks between sessions, recognizing our limited spans of focus, especially since I am a student myself.

At the end of each session, I assign homework, which we review in the next session to ensure a thorough understanding before progressing to new material. However, this is optional and dependent on the student's preference. With kids, I also employ games as a teaching method, as I've observed that they learn effectively through play.

If you or your child have specific requirements or learning outcomes, we can discuss them in our first meeting. Looking forward to our potential collaboration!
