Hello! I’m a piano, guitar, bass, cello, and violin teacher for all levels in Mackay. I love teaching and am a strings teacher at MCC. I often hold recitals at the CQCM and hold 3 LMusAs and 1 AMusA.

About Donald
Teaching music is one of my greatest joys. Seeing a student accomplish a goal they worked hard for is the most fulfilling feeling as a teacher, and I want to continue guiding music students towards being the greatest version of themselves as possible.
Throughout my own journey learning music, I’ve had lots of experience with all different kinds of teachers. I have tried my best to learn from all of my experiences, so that I can properly guide students through their musical journey.
Now, as a private music teacher and strings teacher for a school, I am confident in my ability to guide students with encouragement, whilst being honest in my feedback and respectful.

I have experience teaching all kinds of students. Many go through the AMEB exam system (as I did), but many also learn casually for fun or learn genres not examined (such as metal and jazz for guitar or bass).
I prioritize the student’s purpose of learning music to try and make the lessons as worthwhile and enjoyable as possible.
I myself hold LMusA (Licentiate diploma) in piano, cello, and classical guitar (with distinction) and AMusA in violin, so I have plenty of experience getting through all the grades up until the final Licentiate Diploma.
