About Sara

I have been working in the educational and art sector since I graduated from fine arts 11 years ago. I've had my artwork hung in galleries, offices, restaurants, and homes. I've been hired for murals, private commissions, and more! I have a ton of experience and would love to help you achieve your art learning goals, whether you're a beginner or already intermediate! I work with kids, teens, and adults. I specialize in watercolors, oil painting, and acrylics. I also teach drawing. Lessons can be tailored to the interests of the student! If there's an area you are keen to focus on or improve, I'm happy to address and focus on it with you.

Perfect! I went with a group of 7- all with different pictures, and I was super impressed that we were all able to walk away with impressive paintings!
With so many of us, Sara helped us pick our pictures, gave us our colors, and pretty much let us fly with guidance as we needed it. Although it was a bit intimidating at first, I actually loved it because it gave me SO much more confidence in what I can do :)
I love creating, but drawing and painting definitely aren't skillsets I've developed or felt comfortable with. With that being said, she helped me realize I can do way more than I thought. And I'm actually going to be creating TWO more pieces to go along with the first to create a series. I'm using my new wings to do these on my own, but will absolutely be coming back for more lessons to develop my skills.

When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?
I started practicing art since my graduation in fine arts back in 2011. The passion found me when I witnessed the joy on my customers' faces as they realized that art can be learned, and I observed their progress.

Vincent Van Gogh's ability to express himself through paintings greatly influences me. His work resonates with me on a deep level.
What are the qualities and skills required to succeed in this area?
Success in the arts requires persistence and the ability to follow instructions diligently. It's about continuous practice and using the skills acquired to express oneself.
What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?
The most valuable advice I can offer for staying focused on creative projects is to take a step back occasionally. Give yourself the space to see the full picture and consider incorporating short meditation breaks to approach the project with fresh eyes.
How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?
My passion lies in teaching and witnessing the results in my students. The satisfaction of seeing them proud of their creations is truly fulfilling.
What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?
I take pride in establishing and growing my business, Phiphi Artland. From creating murals to teaching art and yoga, I'm delighted to share my knowledge. Additionally, guiding beginners to witness their progress in creating their masterpieces is a significant achievement.

I'm constantly surprised by my students' quick progression and abilities. It's remarkable to see them break through preconceived notions about talent and realize the potential within themselves.
