About Ashley
Hello! My name is Ashley Phillips. I am a 33-year-old living in Charleston, SC. I actually just moved here after 8 years in Japan, near Tokyo. I went to undergraduate school at Johnson & Wales University from 2010-2014 and received a degree in Fashion Merchandise & Retail Marketing with a concentration in International Business. I have moved around much of my life and have had various jobs in marketing, retail, tutoring ESL, and also youth directing teens at a Christian church. I have been married for 10 years to my wonderful husband and we have a sweet 14-year-old Shepherd Mix named Kiwi. I enjoy listening to Taylor Swift, thrift shopping, exploring the areas we live in, and reminiscing about our time in Japan. I look forward to meeting you!

For me, teaching ESL is an opportunity to not only teach but to learn about my students and meet them where they are with what they need. My lessons include conversation, culture, role play, games, worksheets, etc. I can teach at the level of your needs and please feel free to ask for your teaching style preference. I had so much fun teaching in Japan for several years and look forward to teaching again!
