I employ a hands-on, project-based approach to teaching graphic design. I believe in fostering creativity while ensuring students grasp foundational principles such as color theory, typography, and composition. Each lesson includes a mix of theoretical discussion, practical exercises, and constructive critiques. I also encourage collaboration and peer feedback, as I find that students learn significantly from each other's perspectives.
My lessons typically last between 60 to 90 minutes. This timeframe allows for comprehensive coverage of topics while giving students ample time to engage in hands-on activities and discussions. I also incorporate short breaks to enhance focus and creativity.
I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts, Major in Advertising from Philippine Women's University Institute of Fine Arts & Design, and I have 20 years of experience working in the graphic design and advertising industry. Over the past 20, I have tutored graphic designer of various skill levels, helping them develop portfolios and prepare for careers in design. I have also conducted workshops and courses on specific design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
My lessons are designed for beginners to intermediate learners, typically aged 15 and above. Whether students are looking to explore graphic design as a hobby or aiming to build a professional portfolio, I tailor my approach to meet their individual goals and skill levels.
