When teaching younger children (ages 5-7), lessons are filled with active exercises, flash cards and lots of repetition. For older students (GCSE level and above), tutoring is question based, whether the student wants to read through an essay, or have a particular area they want to discuss. At this stage practicing in the target language, discussing relevant topics and getting them engaged outside a large classroom setting is paramount to my aim.
