About Elizabeth

I am a kid at heart. I love Pixar, Disney, Winnie the Pooh, Marvel and much more. I love to hike, explore and walk on the beach. I love to help others especially with Math and Chemistry.

The two things I cannot live without is my phone and my teddy bear, "Teddy." The thought of living without them makes me feel naked and vulnerable, even if being deprived of them wouldn’t actually kill me (not quickly, anyway).

I would love to have lunch with Mother Theresa. I got to go to India and work with her group of Nuns, Sisters of Charity, and it was ever changing. My favorite memory was when this older man at the local market downtown Kolkata watched me walk by and offered me a flower.

And yes, I love to tutor! Let's build confidence together. My goal is to effectively use my academic and professional experience to offer value and unique perspective to you, provide a team oriented environment while striving to achieve success for the both of us.

“Self-confidence is a superpower. Once you start believing in yourself, magic starts happening.” —Unknown

As a professional engineer, I work with computers daily. I am proficient in Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint and experienced in Visio, Minitab, VisSim, ASPEN Plus, COMSOL, and Mathcad.

“You are braver than you believe, smarter than you seem, and stronger than you think.” - Winnie-the-Pooh (A. A. Milne) Let us travel the path together and find your strengths and strengthen your weaknesses.

I am excited to be part of the team. I am eagerly looking forward to our collaboration. I can't wait to start working with you.

The most important thing I learned from staying busy in college was, it was not all about the classes but it was about the relationships I made. I took Organic Chemistry three times. The first time I felt so awful not passing well enough for my engineering requirements. The second time I tried online and once again felt defeated. I took it again with a third time with a new teacher during the summer semester. I aced the course! It did not even seem like the same material. I am now able to teach the material back to my study team and feel confident I learned and not memorized something. This is just one example of the importance of the professors teaching style, student-teach relationship and academic success. These professors all shared similar characteristics about engagement, going the extra mile, building strong communicative relationships, and being very approachable. Have you ever thought to yourself; I heard you the first time and now the 9th time, I still do not understand. Can you say it differently please? That hit the nail on the head for me. That is why my favorite characteristic of them all was that each explained things multiple times but a different way each time.

Understanding these techniques, I try to bring them into my lesson plans and tutoring experiences every day. I am always one who asks 1001 questions and makes wishes on the stars. I encourage all students to ask questions. Those who ask questions in the world are those who change the world
