About Clarice Mae
A little bit about me, I have been painting since I was 11 years old, always painting doll-like characters. I transitioned to painting my emotions through portraits to express words that were hard to talk about. I found freedom and joy by the colors on the once blank canvas. I started selling my art at 18 years old on beaches and at art events in San Diego. I also just started tutoring some children in the Philippines who took an interest in painting. I have created two art books and am currently working on my next one. I would appreciate the opportunity to teach you and help you grow in your art skills!

I will teach you how to express yourself through colors and capturing the emotion or style you wish to create in. I mainly specialize in pop surrealism portrait style paintings but I am open to teaching you any style you wish to practice. We will start by getting to know each other and what you wish to capture. Then I will show you the basic techniques that will help you elevate your style and creations. I encourage you to create from your truest emotions to offer a healthy way of self regulation and healing through art.
