About Matt
I am now officially the top drummer for Alabama the state according to Guitar Center’s drum off 2013 where I beat out the store finalist and then came back the next week and beat out the preliminaries and then beat out the Nashville quarterfinals and then was sent to Miami for the regional finals and came back home and came back home after all that so I’ve had my and I have a mindful ideas all the time about coming up with different drum parts with certain styles of music. Everything happens for a reason even in drumming so I’ve always looked at playing drums that way.

I’ve been told I'm a social humorous turtle. When giving lessons, I like to break it down variously where I slow each part based on drum snare, hi-hat, cymbals, and high tom and floor tom, where needed, and then each week we progress to get faster and learn technique and learn precise finesse when playing in the right way of sticking and the right way of hitting the drum and cymbals. It’s a timely process, but it all makes sense in the end.
