About Elizabeth
Hiya! I'm Elizabeth, a 2nd-year Law Student looking to teach Biology to GCSE and A-level students. As someone who is very passionate about Biology and almost ended up taking Biomedical Science or Archeology as a degree, I feel like I could provide a more insightful angle to teaching content. My approach to teaching will mainly involve making sure the tutee feels comfortable in asking questions and making mistakes sometimes, as from personal experience, I feel this was a reason why I struggled at times at certain subjects- I was always afraid of sounding 'silly'. Which is completely counter-productive!
To get into specifics: in biology it is important to be able to conceptualise what is happening, so I will often be using analogies and further explanations of different ideas. Even though this will not be examined directly, it is crucial especially at A-level to be able to understand topics to such lengths in order to get the higher marks.
