About Nir
Hi! I’m Nir, and I’m here to help you feel confident in physics and mathematics. I’m a graduate in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin, and I work with students at the AP and college level who want clearer explanations, stronger intuition, and real results.
I specialize in one-on-one tutoring and believe the best learning happens when lessons are tailored to you. My teaching style is highly visual and interactive, focusing on breaking down complex ideas into concepts that actually make sense. I don’t just teach formulas—I explain where they come from and why they work.
I also enjoy going beyond the course material and connecting physics and math to real-world and interesting applications. Since classes can sometimes feel boring or overwhelming, my goal is to make the material engaging and approachable. Having faced these challenges myself, I understand how to support students with patience, clarity, and professionalism.

Teaching Method and Techniques
I offer one-on-one tutoring over Zoom with lessons tailored to each student’s needs. My approach is highly visual and interactive—I frequently draw diagrams, work through equations step by step, and break down abstract ideas into intuitive concepts. I focus on building real understanding rather than memorization, and I encourage questions throughout the lesson.
Typical Lesson Plan
Each session starts by identifying what the student is struggling with, whether it’s a concept, homework problem, or exam material. I explain the relevant theory clearly and intuitively, then we work through problems together. I’m happy to help with homework, assignments, and exam preparation. Lessons end with a brief recap of key ideas and strategies for independent practice.
What Sets Me Apart
I go beyond course material by connecting physics and mathematics to real-world and interesting applications. Since coursework can often feel boring or mundane, I aim to make concepts engaging and meaningful. I also relate strongly to students who struggle, understanding common points of confusion from experience. With a research-level background, I can explain ideas both intuitively and rigorously.
Who the Lessons Are For
I tutor AP and college-level Physics and Mathematics and can help with any topic a student brings.
