About Gregory
I am currently a final year student in a Master's degree in Civil Engineering and Architecture at UCL. I also took a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (construction) at EPL (UCL).
A great fan of sailing and aviation, I run catamaran courses in the summer and am currently studying to obtain my microlight and private pilot license.

It is sometimes said that having a private tutor means questioning the teacher's skills and methods. I do not agree. The way some students understand and assimilate the subject can sometimes be different from the way it was taught to them.
I distinguish two cases:
1) The student does not understand one (or more) specific point(s) of the subject.
Here, nothing too bad. I go over with him, point by point, the theoretical concepts and exercises, possibly with a different approach from that of the teacher, until he understands.
2) The student has difficulty with the entire course.
Firstly, I will try to ensure that the student stops falling behind and gets back up to date as quickly as possible with the pace of the course given at school. To do this, I will go over the course with him from the beginning, based on the course and exercises given by the teacher.
Secondly, in parallel with catching up, I will look with the student for the methods that suit him best. The goal is for him to (re)become autonomous in the subject in question and to ensure that in the future he succeeds with flying colors, without extra help.
I base myself mainly on the course that was given at school.
