I believe in compassionate immersion. Kindness and patience are key. I work through technical aspects of the language, like grammar, through context- not memorization. I identify the strengths of my students first, then work with them to improve the rest.

Rae is a great tutor! I supervised them when they were a peer writing tutor at Warren Wilson College. They were kind, smart, and empathetic with students. They listened, asked great questions, and offered tips and strategies to meet students just where they were. Rae is passionate about learning and about supporting others to grow and learn at their own pace.
