About Pragya

I’ve always approached French as a language to understand and use, not just study for exams. Over time, I’ve built a strong foundation in the language and developed a way of teaching that focuses on clarity, structure, and actual application.

I’m someone who values getting the basics right. Once your foundation is strong, everything else in French becomes much easier to build on, and that’s exactly what I focus on with my students. I make sure concepts are clear, not rushed, and that you feel confident using them, not just recognizing them.

At the same time, I keep the learning process comfortable and engaging. I understand that starting a new language can feel intimidating, so my goal is to make classes feel approachable while still being structured and productive.

About the lesson

I approach teaching French in a very practical, step-by-step way. When you're starting a new language, the biggest challenge is the foundation. So I focus on building your fundamentals properly from day one, while making sure you’re actually able to use what you learn. We start with letters, numbers, pronunciation, moving onto verbs, sentence building, and build on our vocabulary.

My classes usually begin with a quick revision, followed by introducing a new concept every class. This could be grammar, vocabulary, or sentence structure. We immediately apply it through speaking, small exercises, reading and comprehension. And so it sticks. Over time, this builds both accuracy and confidence.

I keep my lessons structured but not rigid. I adapt based on your pace and learning style, some people need more speaking practice, some need more clarity on grammar, and I adjust accordingly. You won’t feel lost or rushed.

I've learnt French as a foreign language too, so I understand where students get confused, and I can help you with the correct approach to learning. So even at the beginner level, I encourage you to start forming sentences and thinking in French. The goal is not just to “know” French, but to actually strive to understand, read, write and speak it comfortably.

My classes are ideal for school and college students, as well as working professionals or anyone starting French from scratch or looking to improve up to an intermediate level.
