About Alex
I am a senior student at Haverford College with a concentration in Latin American, Iberian, and Latinx Studies. My experience with Spanish comes from growing up in a Spanish-speaking household and extensive course work in Spanish at the college level. I have written bilingual curricular materials on environmental justice movements in Latin America and the Philadelphia area collaboratively with Spanish-speaking migrant communities of Philly!

I approach tutoring by tailoring to the needs of each individual. We'll start with the question: why are you learning Spanish, and what vocabulary will be most useful to you -- academic, conversational, vocational, something else? I emphasize practicing through conversation and engagement with Spanish-language media from music and TV/film, to current events and pop culture. My lessons will be most helpful for an intermediate to advanced-intermediate Spanish learner. Aprende conmigo :)
