About Julianna
Many students in my classroom are heritage learners from Latino families working to formalize what they already know. Growing up in Santiago provided the cultural foundation I combine with a BA Spanish from Middlebury College. 9 years of teaching have taught me how to refine grammar, pronunciation, and writing skills for my diaspora students.
Dialogues and role play activities help me build conversational fluency while correcting accent and intonation. I enjoy integrating idioms, expressions, and cultural context into our discussions. Watching students gain confidence in their reading comprehension is the most rewarding part of this work.
