About Arjun
Hey!
I'm a student of economics and public policy. I received offers to study at University College London, King's College, and Bocconi University before coming to the University of Toronto. I'm a 'UofT Scholar' with a 3.52 GPA. I have worked as a journalist at the Economic Times, and as a research assistant at the Munk School. My academic focus surrounds public finance and administrative structures. I have taught at a high school level for 2 years now, and have taught Economics, Math, and English across various countries.
Before this, I completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme where I scored 39 points.
I speak fluent Hindi, Bangla, English, and French, and I'm comfortable teaching at all levels, having taught previously.

I approach my class in a case study-oriented manner. I believe that studying economic theory in isolation, is frankly, pointless and leads to net 0 learning. What I intend on doing, is allow students to come to conclusions and answers of their own volition. I will absolutely not teach through 'rote learning' or the simple mugging of theories and facts. I have found that this system tends to kill any love for the subject a student may harbour.
We will look at Economics cases together, and work to apply various, and often times contrary, principles in these situations. I will help you analyse the case as you see it, and then endeavour to show you a few of the infinite other analyses that exist.
Economics is a subject of logic and expecting the unexpected. Let's reach in together
