About Spendy

Hey my name is Spendy, I’m a 2nd year medical student and I studied A-level biology in sixth form!!! I would love to teach GCSE and A-level biology students as I am very passionate about this subject. If anyone has ambitions towards studying medicine and becoming a doctor in the future I also give tips for personal statement/interviews. I can help you with mock interview sessions that tackle each aspect of medical school interviews! I find it so fun teaching my friends and they always love our study sessions so I thought why not help others succeed!!

About the lesson

Whilst battling the overwhelming content from this subject I came up with a unique way to remember the many processes that could be 4-6 mark answers in exams. This effective method has led me to achieving A/A* in all my mocks. I have turned most of the biology concepts into stories to make it fun & easy to understand!!! You’ll sit in your exam looking at a long answer question thinking “easyyyyy” Trust me you’ll never forget the content this way as it’s simple and even funny sometimes!!
I start the session off with an interactive PowerPoint on your chosen biology topic, we then move onto exam questions focusing on mark-scheme specific answers. You’ll be emailed the PowerPoint, exam questions, mark scheme & any supplementary resources at the end of each lesson !

Perfect! Such a great A-Level Biology tutor! She carefully planned PowerPoints for new topics and found specific exam questions to help me prepare.
