About Rayane
I am year 13 student predicted A* in Maths and A Physics and. I volunteer in school physics classes and help students with tricky topics like Kirchhoff’s laws and the photoelectric effect. I specialise in GCSE students (age 14–16), especially those around grades 4–5, focusing on clear explanations, exam technique and targeted practice. Patient, structured and results-focused.

My teaching approach is structured, patient, and tailored to each student. I focus on building a strong conceptual understanding first, so that students can confidently apply the ideas in different contexts. Many students struggle not because the content is difficult, but because they don’t see the “why” behind the formulas and concepts. I break topics down to their fundamental principles and explain them in simple, clear steps.
I also prioritise exam technique and practice, because knowing a topic isn’t enough to score top marks. I identify common mistakes, highlight how marks are awarded, and guide students on how to approach exam-style questions with confidence. I encourage active learning, students are expected to try problems themselves, while I provide guidance, feedback, and tips to strengthen understanding.
Typical 1-Hour Lesson Structure:
Warm-Up / Quick Diagnostic (5–10 mins)
Review homework or start with a few questions to identify gaps in understanding.
Focused Teaching (15–20 mins)
Introduce or revisit a single concept, for example Kirchhoff’s laws in Physics or solving quadratic equations in Maths. I explain the concept step by step and provide worked examples, ensuring the student understands before moving on.
Guided Exam Practice (20 mins)
Students attempt exam-style questions while I observe, guide, and correct. This helps reinforce understanding and builds exam confidence.
Review & Feedback (10 mins)
Go through mistakes carefully, explain how to avoid them, and highlight useful tips. Homework or practice questions are then set to consolidate the lesson.
