As a tutor, my tutoring lessons are designed to make learning math and science clear, engaging, and easy to understand. As a top student myself, I’ve developed unique teaching strategies that break down complex topics into simple, manageable steps. I focus on building strong foundations while tailoring my approach to each student’s learning style, helping them gain confidence and achieve real results. Whether it’s homework help, test/exam prep, or mastering tough concepts, my lessons are supportive, interactive, and always aimed at helping students succeed both in class and beyond. My lessons provide students with a brief introduction to the topic, what they may already need to know and how to effectively grasp any concept that they may need help with. A typical lesson could look like:
1. Warm-Up
We will first start off every lesson with a quick review of a previous lesson or related concepts, and following it with a simple question or a short word problem
2. Concept Introduction
I will take my time to explain the new concept clearly and simply, while using real-life examples or visuals to connect the idea, making it easier for the student to grasp it.
3. Guided Practice
During this period, I would work through a few problems or examples with the student while breaking down each step and explaining the “why” behind it, as well as answering any questions the student may have.
5. Wrap-Up & Review
During the last moments of the class, I will summarize key points and steps while leaving the student with practice questions from previous tests. By doing this, it encourages the student to practice questions outside of the textbook and develop their critical thinking further. During the last 5 minutes, I will ask the student to explain the concept back to me in their own words to ensure their understanding.
