About Varun

Hi, I'm Varun!
I’ve always had a strong passion for Mathematics, but what I find even more rewarding is that moment a concept finally clicks for someone else. Whether it be guiding my younger brother, or breaking down complex topics for peers, I love being the person to turn to for assistance.

My Approach to Learning
I know firsthand that math can be frustrating and seeking help can feel intimidating - that's why I avoid too rigid, high-pressure teaching. Instead, I create a relaxed and supportive environment where students are free to:
●Learn efficiently without burnout and ask questions without fear of judgment
●Work at a pace that actually sticks.

My goal isn't just to help students get a better mark on their next test, but to build the confidence and real understanding they require to succeed on their own.

I offer a highly tailored tutoring style for each student, which aligns with the topics they cover in school. This ensures they:

● Master advanced application concepts and complex questions

- The 1-Hour Balance -
I believe 1-hour lessons are a sweet spot for learning without burnout. Each lesson is typically structured efficiently around:

● Homework Review: To cover past mistakes and ensure adequate practice
● Conceptual Teaching: Breaking down new concepts and topics clearly
● Application Practice: Tackling challenging "separator" under guided or exam-style conditions.

- Expectations and Support -
All assigned homework and practice tests are marked and expected to be completed before class so we can dive straight into challenging questions during class!
These are used to provide feedback and pinpoint/fix gaps in understanding.
