My name is David Godinho, and I am studying to work in accounting.
With a strong background in Mathematics and Accounting, I help students simplify topics that they may find challenging. My goal is to take content and teach it in a clear, manageable way.
I design interactive, goal-oriented lessons that target your specific needs and exam requirements. I am passionate about helping students succeed in school, by creating a safe learning space where students can ask questions and learn effectively. My approach to teaching revolves around genuinely comprehending content as opposed to simply memorising answers. I understand that different students have different learning patterns, and I adapt my teaching in a way that makes it easy for students to understand.
In my experience, once a student understands a subject, the work becomes simple. This is achieved through one-on-one learning where I provide active feedback, constructive criticism, and help them work through questions they will likely face in their assessments to ensure academic success.
Students experience their biggest growth by asking questions and learning from their mistakes, and that is why I create an environment that encourages mistakes - So that I can understand what went wrong and take action to improve.
