About Lara
My goal is to inspire younger students to develop a genuine love for STEM subjects. I used to think Science was hard, since there was a big learning curve to overcome with all the new words and theories. I studied VCE Unit 1/2 Chemistry this year as an accelerated subject, and it is now my favorite subject.
Recently, I've begun flight training and working towards my first pilot license. English is my first language, Turkish is my second language and I take Spanish as a subject at school. I'm excited to travel to new countries and pick up more languages in the future!

I prioritize understanding and applying concepts rather than memorizing. I will deliver content in your child's learning style in a fun and engaging manner, then encourage them to attempt a test question on their own and apply detailed feedback afterward. I will provide all learning materials and will create digital revision material like posters and flashcards to promote healthy studying habits at home.
A typical 1 hour session:
10 min - revise last lesson's content
15 min - introduce new topic
20 min - go through practice problems and solving steps
10 min - student solves questions independently
5 min - correct questions and feedback
I focus on Year 6 to 10 students to bridge the basics between primary and secondary school content. I give undivided attention to the student.
