About Mahathi

Hi! I'm Mahathi, a tutor with almost two years of previous tutoring experience. In addition, I'm a high honor roll student who has completed up to Precalculus just as a sophomore. These past two years, as a tutor with LearnToBe, I've spent my time helping students improve in math with patience, guided lessons, and approachable teaching. I believe that math shouldn't be intimidating, and as a tutor, my number one priority is providing a safe, supportive learning space. No matter what your student's struggle is, I am prepared as a tutor to help them succeed in math.

About the lesson

My tutoring services are mainly for elementary to middle school math students, including those in Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2. I specialize in math and am focused on students who are looking to boost their confidence in math, students who want to strengthen their foundational skills, and students who feel left behind and wish to get ahead. My teaching technique is mainly student-centered with an emphasis on foundations. A lesson plan of mine begins with a ten-minute warm-up that is focused on the lesson, followed by a lesson and a guided practice. The student will then complete a series of practice problems to test their understanding that will be accompanied by my help and assistance. What sets me apart as a tutor is my experience in both tutoring and math. I'm a high honor roll student who has completed up to Precalculus just as a sophomore. As a previous tutor for the organization LearnToBe, I am familiar with how online tutoring works and have worked with many students to achieve their academic goals. Additionally, I completed the LearnToBe Summer Buddies program in which I tutored a student with a lack of foundational skills over the summer and garnered recognition through a Letter of Recommendation from the organization. But most of all, I understand how to work with children in this age category. I'm patient, experienced, and dedicated, making me an ideal tutor for academic success.
