About Mathis
Hey my name is Mathis and I am a double bass major student in college. I am very patient and I love to teach as see my student's progress. I believe that since I am student myself, I have a very good perspective of what works and doesn't work since I am in the same position as you! I have won multiple orchestral competitions as well as solo competitions and I have played for multiple years in orchestras as section leader and as section bass. I believe that I am competent enough to help you reach your goals too!

I use a mix of American and Rabbath double bass method to teach. Since I am still a student myself, I use a lot of my teacher's methods and documents to help you improve. I can teach from beginner up to intermediate level players to help you improve on all of your aspects as a performer and help you get started to reach your goals as a performer!

My pricing is less expensive than a professional since I am still studying.
If you want me to go to your place, an extra $10 travel fee will be added. There will be no travel fee if you come to my studio or if you decide to take a lesson online. The first free lesson is only available online. If you take multiple lessons with me you may be required to buy some material online.
