About Yahya
I am a recent high school graduate and incoming student at Williams College, the top liberal arts college in the United States (according to the US News and World Report), and 7th best college in the USA (according to Forbes), where I plan to study mathematics. Throughout high school, I challenged myself with rigorous coursework, including more than 10 AP classes in mathematics, statistics, English, Spanish, etc. I have extensive experience explaining difficult concepts to classmates and students of all grade levels.
I achieved a 1570 on the SAT, won 2026 Overall Top Math Student at the Williston Northampton School, and got all 5s in AP exams taken junior year (AP Physics 1, AP Calculus AB, AP English Language, AP US Government & Politics).
As both a student-athlete and an academic high achiever, I understand the importance of discipline, organization, and effective study habits. My goal as a tutor is not only to help students improve their grades and test scores, but also to build confidence and develop strong problem-solving skills that will benefit them long after our sessions end. I strive to create a supportive, patient, and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as they learn.

With significant achievements and hundreds of hours of tutoring experience, my approach to tutoring involves adaptations to tutees’ individual learning styles and rigorous, targeted skill building, and addressing fundamental roots of misunderstanding. Some of my students have increased their GPAs by over eight points (on a 100-point scale), and their SATs by 400+ points. I am open to work with anyone in high school or earlier.
