About Chris
Hi! I'm a Business professor at Loyalist College in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. I've been teaching now for 6 semesters with international students, both online and in class for all aspects of business, especially project management. Prior to becoming a full-time prof, I worked for 20+ years as a software project manager for clients across North America. As a consultant PM, I've worked to advise clients in all industry sectors, including government. I teach on cultural awareness, communication differences across cultures, Indigenous issues, and how to communicate up to C level, and down to worker team members. I also teach about change management, risk, problem-solving, and IT rollout projects. Bottom line: Not only will you learn English, but in a business context to understand WHY we say what we do. Come learn in a fun (but structured) environment.

Learn by doing! I will give you activities to learn new management skills and improve your business English skills. In a step-by-step manner, I'll guide you through a business process, e.g., hosting a Zoom meeting, and explain the WHY and HOW and communication risks for each step of the process. In your first lesson, we'll talk about your needs, and what blockers may have prevented you from success in the past. You're a high performer, and we'll move at a quick pace. I will set expectations for each lesson, and we'll work together with a positive self-growth attitude.
