About Katie
I am currently a mathematics teacher at a high school where I teach two different levels of algebra 1 and I tutor geometry and algebra 2 students. I have an undergraduate degree in economics which was concentrated on mathematical concepts of calculus. I have a masters degree in mathematics education. I am working towards a doctorate in educational leadership.

I am passionate about mathematics and teaching. I take a different approach from most where I incorporate lots of reasoning. I do not believe in mimicking a process. Students should learn the concept and reasoning behind a topic. Learning this will foster growth and allow each topic to build on to the next.
