About Atlanta
I graduated from Texas State University in 2023 with a degree in Economics and a degree in Political Science. I found my passion for teaching over the summer before my senior year, working with a program that helps tutor middle schoolers aspiring to be first generation college students. After graduating from Texas State, I came to East Austin to teach at Eastside High School. My personal teaching philosophy is that high school is meant to teach you HOW to learn, and that will be a focus in my lessons. With me your learner will prepare to be successful in their path after high school while getting the grades they need to have those pathways open.

As a teacher I am aware of the skills that are needed in order to be successful on certain topics. If your student is behind I can help identify the skills they will need to be successful in upcoming lessons to help bring them up to grade level or what skills will take them from “knowing” to “understanding”. Every student has different needs and I’m excited to meet your student where they are at. Whether your student learns best with models, real world situations, having big tasks broken down into steps, or through guided discovery we will work together to achieve their educational goals! I am best suited to teach middle school through high school math and science!
