About Courtney

I am a High School Geometry teacher and have been tutoring all levels of math through Trigonometry for decades. I am also a School Band Director and have been teaching instrumental and choral music for almost 30 years. I have also been a Worship Pastor for over 20 years and have experience leading & directing bands, as well as working with all of my vocalists and instrumentalists. I have helped hundreds of students achieve their goals and find success. I am encouraging, patient, kind, and direct. I love watching my students grow and learn.

About the lesson

I show my students different ways to understand the material until they understand it, and then we practice it together until they have it down.

I start by looking at the unit information in their book, to be sure we are showing their work the way their teacher expects. Then I show them some examples, walk them through some examples, and then have them do their homework while I provide direction, as needed.

I love my students and have a passion for their success. I am encouraging, patient, and kind. Learning takes some work, but we also have fun accomplishing our goals.

I teach K-12 Math: Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, and SAT Math.

I also teach all instruments K-8 (Woodwind, Brass, String, and Percussion).
